The tomato is the world’s most popular fruit

We checked in with an organic gardener with an advanced degree from UCONN, and it’s true. The tomato really is a fruit, not a vegetable. More than 60 million tons of tomatoes are produced per year, but we aren’t sure how many are produced using sustainable farming practices.

Speaking of the word sustainable, are you wondering what it means in the first place? Sustainable farming uses practices that protect the land and create a higher quality food than conventional farming.  Sustainable farmers are mindful of conserving water, nourishing the land by planting crops that change every few years to better enrich soil. They also offer good conditions and pay for their workers.

GourGanics is on a mission. We use USDA Organic, sustainable produce from farms and sources as local as possible. We carefully craft our salsa and simmer sauce in small batches using homestyle methods. Our products are grown and produced without the aid of pesticides, man-made fertilizers, or (GMOs) genetically modified organisms.  This creates a pure and better tasting salsa. And you can find tons of recipes right here on our Website. So start cooking with it!

  • GourGanics is a great way to eat local, sustainable food, all year long.
  • GourGanics is rich in vitamins you need, with no fat or cholesterol.
  • GourGanics is tasty as all get out, what more do you want?
  • There’s nothing like a New England tomato at the peak of season.

Pick some up today. You can quickly make a meal that tastes too good to be good for you! But it is.

    Sarah~
I’m good friends with your sister Terri…had Konrad & Katie at 6 to 6…now work with her in FFLD.I bought 2 jars of your salsa from her last week.

I just DEVOURED 1/2 of a jar of each of the mild and spicy. It was by far the best I’ve ever eaten. I couldn’t stop eating it. It was so fresh and so delicious. I’m so proud to also know the owner!

    Kudos to you,
    Kara
